The Mission And Vision Of OUR TEAM 1999-2023 For Abia 2027.

Awareness must have been evidently created on the existence of a group of Politicians, Bureaucrats and Technocrats in Abia State that goes by the nomenclature, OUR TEAM 1999-2023.
As the name implies, OUR TEAM 1999-2023 is a composition of Politicians, Bureaucrats and Technocrats who worked, either as Politicians, either elected or appointed, top-ranking Civil or Public Servants in Abia State between 1999 and 2023.
Basically, the socio-political group headed by the second Executive Governor of Abia State, 1999-2007, and Ranking Senator representing Abia-North in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has two former Governors; His Excellency, Senator T A Orji, Ochendo, and His Excellency, Ambassador Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.
OUR TEAM 1999-2023 also has in its reservoir of human capacity the Honourable Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, and Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, The Rt Honourable Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CFR. He had served in different capacities between 1999 and 2007, under Governor Orji Uzor Kalu.
Furthermore, all Members of National Assembly from Abia State who were elected between 1999 and 2023, and all elected into Abia State House of Assembly within the period under review are accorded the status of statutory members of OUR TEAM 1999-2023.
Secretaries to State Government, Chiefs of Staff to State Governors, such as Sir Mascot Uzor Kalu, a Development Economist, Mazi Donatus Okorie, Professor A.C.B Agbazuere, and Chief Okechukwu Ambrose Ahiwe, Commissioners, Heads of Service of the State’s Civil Service, Permanent-Secretaries, and Local Government Council Chairmen that operated within that era are integral members of OUR TEAM 1999-2023. Apart from the above mentioned category of Officers, all Political Appointees of Abia State Government for the said length of Twenty-four years are indisputable members of OUR TEAM 1999-2023.
Therefore, there can not be any gainsaying that OUR TEAM 1999-2023 is the most experienced and formidable crop of Politicians, Bureaucrats and Technocrats today in Abia State.
Looking at the national level, the Leader and Members of OUR TEAM 1999-2023 are happy with the reforms the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has made, so far, to pull Nigeria out of the woods. They have, without any doubt or hesitation, embraced Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. President Tinubu deserves a second tenure.
Here in the State, OUR TEAM 1999-2023, having taken a holistic critical look at Politics and Governance, as currently practised in Abia State, has intrinsically been challenged to rise up to the occasion of current abnormalities and shortfalls in the State.
As it is known, transparency is an inseparable ingredient of democratic governance, the world over. Where it is grossly absent or even insufficient, democracy automatically fails to be a whole.
OUR TEAM 1999-2023’s vision is that transparency and accountability should be the compass that determines and assesses navigation in public accounts of Abia State, in order to yield visible and commensurate development in the State. This is very strategic when development in the State is juxtaposed with the amount of money President Tinubu has been releasing to the State.
As for the mission of OUR TEAM 1999-2023, a strong desire to run an inclusive people-oriented Government at the two tiers of Government, in which Local Government Councils in Abia State will function effectively and accountably, as clearly stipulated by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, and, therefore, address the current ineffectiveness of the Councils in the State, consequent lack of development and poverty ravaging the grassroots, is exactly the mission.
From whatever perspective it may be viewed, OUR TEAM 1999-2023 has taken the responsibility of installing a transparent, accountable and development-oriented governance in Abia State in 2027. Let it be taken to any Bank, even if it Zisnature Bank, a Member of OUR TEAM 1999-2023 will be sworn-in as the Sixth Executive Governor of Abia State on 29th May, 2027. All glory will be ascribed to Almighty God.
