No Matter How Difficult The Times Are, Military Coups In Nigeria Should Not Be Contemplated.

No Nigerian that is up to 69 years will ever dream of another coup in the country.

The Rule of Law is the beauty of modern societies. In the absence of democratic governance, the Rule of Law becomes impracticable and unsustainable.

In the very dark days of Military Rule in Nigeria, 1966-1979, and 1983-1999, Nigerians went through hell. Those who witnessed that era will not wish such experience even to their worst enemies.

Nigerian Legislators should make sure that the country’s electoral laws and regulations are such that can guarantee free, fair and verifiable elections.

In that case, the electorate can easily vote out any Government or Legislator that creates situations that give room for untold hardship on the citizens.

Military coups are detrimental to national cohesion and development. It is good that the Nigerian Military has refuted whatever rumour that had made the rounds in recent times.

The Military should only be concerned with territorial defence of the Nigerian State.

Say No to Military Coup!
