Let APC In Abia State Stand On The Mandate Of The Party, Without Any Compromise Or Resort To Subterfuge.

All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State has equitably, harmoniously, and successfully brought her Congresses in the State to a logical conclusion.
As generally reported in both traditional and online media, the Party was classically exemplary in the manner it managed the congresses, starting from the Wards, Local Government Areas, Senatorial Districts, and up to the State. There was no reported case(s) of rancour.
Kudos to the leadership provided by the Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, The Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CFR, and cooperative efforts put in by other notable Leaders of the Party, including a former Governor of the State and current Ranking Senator representing Abia-North Senatorial District in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Most Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
With the feeling of an assuring sense of belonging that almost every member of the Party now cherishes, political controversies which often result from disputations arising from Party Congresses have been reduced to their barest minimum, if not completely.
Interestingly, with the newly 2026 Electoral Act assented to by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Party Executive Officers now satisfy more of optics than playing hitherto decisive roles in Party nominations, as the era of ‘all influential delegates’ has become a thing of the past. Political Parties are, by the 2026 Electoral Act, restricted to only two methods of producing their Candidates for elections, either by Concensus or Votes by All Card-Carrying Members of the Party. Party Members in Nigeria who would have liked to ‘die instead of not being Delegates to Party Congresses for Primary Elections’, should now look for something else to do in order to earn a living.
With the current state of APC in Abia State, and coupled with the fact that the present Labour Party Government in the State is being alleged of not being transparent in running the affairs of the State, no miracle can stop APC from winning the Governorship election in Abia State in January 2027.
On the background of the above fact, it will be unbearably sad, disgusting and unacceptable to hear that some Leaders of APC in the State are, allegedly, entering into secret understanding and clandestine arrangements with the Labour Party Government to support the latter to retain power in 2027, just for selfish purposes.
That secret plot, if true, can only be contemplated by enemies of APC who are wolves pretending to be sheep in the Party. Such destructive subterfuge is already dead on arrival, as patriotic Leaders and Members of the Party would resist it with the last pint of their blood.
Equity Global Reporters Ltd strongly believes that APC in Abia State has come to be, and will surely stand on the Party’s Mandate, without any iota of compromise. Any leader or member nursing a contrary opinion will only be hitting his or her head against a brick wall. So, the best option is to have a rethink, work sincerely for the Party, and the earlier, the better!
