Contemporary social and political dynamics of the Asa Man have been redefined, of late.

When some of us were growing up, it was regarded a social taboo to observe or even hear a younger person rain abuses on an elder person, much more raise false accusations against him.

But today, that culture has given way to the contrary. Any person that has not heaped insults, even unjustifiably, on an elderly person is adjudged not to have come of age. Respect, which was the trademark of the Asa Man, has become estranged in Asa socio-cultural dynamics.

The worst of this new normal is that it does not end at insults, it extends to defamation. From the blues, without any evidence, whatsoever, an Asa Man could, like a thunderbolt, wake up from his left and before one could say Jack Robinson, he has falsely and maliciously accused an innocent fellow Asa Man of using Public fund, not in any way provided for in any known budget, to induce his kinsmen to pass a vote of confidence in him. The unanswered question in that context remains, for what would he use N20m to ask for a vote of confidence from People who have no role to play as to determine the person’s future?

In making such viral defamatory allegation, it was obvious the defamer had only one objective, to paint the defamed black and make him lose his job.

From a different but similar angle of Asa current dynamics, a bomb is moulded and before one could comprehend what is in the offing it has exploded in a Cover Page of a Weekly Magazine, intentionally but defamatorily likening some kinsmen to the ‘Ogoni 7 Vultures that Betrayed Ogoni, for which they paid maximum price of annihilation’.

In both viral threatening defamatory publications; (1) N20m for vote of confidence in Chief Eruba Dimgba, Ph.D, and
(2) 7 Asa Vultures slated to be visited in their homes and killed, my name conspicuously appears.

It may not be unlikely that majority of Asa People do not attach any importance to their dignity. No wonder some Asa Indigenes openly opposed the demand by Asa Group Leaders that someone from Ugwati who had accused them as having been induced with N20m to pass a vote of confidence in Chief Dimgba should be suspended from Asa Think Tank Group that had provided a platform for the man from Ugwati to defame the Leaders crudely, baselessly and without any justification.

On the defamatory Cover Page Publication of The Pulse Weekly Magazine of January 20, 2025, those behind it should be prepared for a very long legal contest, from both Civil and Criminal angles. Thank God I read it while I was in Abuja and, so, Abuja has Jurisdiction over the allegation and threat to life.

I must commend Chief Eruba Dimgba, Ph.D, for reporting this defamatory nonsense to the appropriate Security Agency. If not for any other thing, any time the alleged defamer from Ugwati comes out from his present trajectory, he may not talk primitively unguardedly again.

Meanwhile, it is false, erroneous, and malicious to allege that Chief Eruba Dimgba, Ph.D, is the first Asa Man to report an Asa indigene who had defamed another Asa Man before the Law.

An Asa Man had spoken ill of me before, as he had always done, and believing that I would never get infuriated but my nephew, acting on the dictates of justification, gave it back to him, and the next thing he did was to file a defamatory suit against my nephew.

So, it is very wrong to allege that Chief Eruba Dimgba,Ph.D, was the first Asa Man to take an appropriate action against an irresponsible Asa defamer.

Once again, I commend Chief Eruba Dimgba, Ph.D, for taking a decent civil step to instill sanity, institute respect, and restore dignity in Asa.
I will also contribute my own little quota.
