A Scammer Using The Name Of The Speaker Of Lagos State House Of Assembly To Swindle.

About 11:50 this morning, my phone recorded a WhatsApp call from 08169392170, purporting to be the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, The Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa. The profile picture on the number is that of the Speaker.
When I noticed it and returned the call, he informed me that a conference will take place at 9 pm tonight and that he had sent a code to me that will give me access to the conference and demanded that I use the code immediately.
As soon as I asked him why he considered me relevant in such a conference that I knew nothing of, he switched off.
I want to remind the general public that as we approach the Christmas Season, some scammers may stop at nothing to deceive and defraud any inexperienced person.
I wish this message could reach the Honourable Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, The Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa.
